Watershed Business Profile: Wild Joe*s

Wild Joe*s is an “old school coffee house” and is a staple to downtown Bozeman. Wild Joe*s works to ensure that social and environmentally responsible practices are used to promote a healthy local & global community.  They’ve been a long-time supporter of GWC, and we are so grateful! This spring, when you bring your own cup or mug, you'll be given a wooden quarter to donate to the nonprofit of your choice. We recommend donating to GWC ;)

Here are some of the additional amazing things that they do for the watershed:

  • Wild Joe*s is a participant of the City of Bozeman’s Commercial Rebate Program. They received a free site assessment from the City of Bozeman Water Conservation Division, and took action! In order to use less water, they retrofitted their dipper well, 4 hand washing faucets, and their pre-rinse spray valve. This business is on track to save 18,822 gallons of water annually!

  • Awarded  Montana Eco Star for sustainable business practices

  • Compost 100% of their coffee grounds and food scraps

  • Recycle glass, plastic, aluminum and paper

  • Use disposable cups and straws are made out of corn bi-products

  • Implement watershed awareness in the workplace by inviting GWC to give Watershed 101 workshops to employees

  • Help provide hot water and beverage for our volunteer events

  • Have donate a portion of their “Bring Your Own Mug” incentive to GWC

  • Have teamed up with Gallatin Refugee Connections (GRC), the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Soft Landing Missoula to host a Kit Drive to help refugee families start new lies in Missoula

Wild Joe*s is a Gallatin Watershed Council Business Steward. The goal of the Business Steward Program is to mobilize businesses and their customers to participate in watershed stewardship and to elevate water awareness in our community. Learn more about the program and how to join here!

Thank you for working for clean water through your partnerships, volunteer involvement, and educational practices!
