Board Member Spotlight & GWC Knit Hats!
Board member spotlight! Hannah Jaicks wears multiple hats in the Gallatin Valley. During the workweek, Hannah spends her time working to advance the mission of Future West, a small community-based nonprofit that helps western communities design and secure the future they want.
Hannah is also the co-founder of Bears Den Essentials. Inspired by the places, animals and people who we share our home with here in Montana, Hannah designs and creates handmade knit hats with her boyfriend Mark Ollenburger. They have graciously designed two GWC inspired hats, which are available for custom order on her Etsy account! 12% of the proceeds from every hat sold will go directly to GWC. In the evenings and on the weekends, youโll find Hannah on the sidelines coaching her (back-to-back-to-back) state champions, the Bozeman High School Girls Lacrosse Team.
Off the field, she and Mark spend their free time backpacking and trying to keep up with Markโs silver lab named Posey. Hannah received her Ph.D. in Environmental Psychology from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, and she received her B.A. in Biology and Psychology from Swarthmore College.
Thank you Hannah for your hard work and dedication toward watershed stewardship!
