Wrapping Trees at the East Gallatin Preserve!

Last Friday, volunteers met up at the East Gallatin Preserve and wrapped 800 feet of wire around 160 trees to protect from beavers!

Tree wrapping is a proactive solution that allows for beavers and people to coexist and work together to preserve our wetland ecosystems. Don’t worry, we left plenty of trees unwrapped for the beavers to get to work!

Thank you to all our volunteers! This project is a partnership between a local landowner, Antler & Fin Restoration and GWC. It was funded by the Montana Watershed Coordination Council’s Watershed Fund and DEQ.
