Become a Gallatin Watershed Business Steward!
For today’s Watershed Wednesday, we’re highlighting our new program: Gallatin Watershed Stewards for Business! GWS for Business equips businesses with the tools needed to be better stewards of our watershed through a voluntary stewardship pledge and a donation program. More information can be found on our business page.
Business Steward Pledge
There are four main themes to our business stewardship pledge:
Prioritizing watershed stewardship & education
Water conservation (upgrading to high efficiency indoor fixtures and appliances and/or practicing water efficient landscaping techniques)
Addressing water quality
Engagement in the watershed community
The Business can decide how many activities in the online pledge they pledge to do. GWC will work closely with each business to come up with a customized pledge.
Donation and Incentive Program
In addition to the pledge, the business is asked to contribute an annual donation to the Gallatin Watershed Council. The business will choose to donate via one of two donation levels (Steward or Super Steward), and will receive a corresponding Business Toolkit. The donation program is crucial to Gallatin Watershed Stewards as it ensures that the program becomes financially self-sustaining.
